As the Head of Community at Rita Lab, you will lead one of the core initiatives of the Rita-verse, shaping the experience of our vibrant and diverse community. Your primary mission will be to ensure that Rita Lab members 1) have a positive and enriching experience, 2) gain real value from being part of the community, and 3) remain engaged and active participants. Reporting directly to the CEO, and serving on the Rita leadership team, you will oversee the operations of Rita Lab while aligning its efforts with the broader goals of Rita Group. From managing Rita Lab teams to overseeing events, seminars, and resources, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the next generation of technologists and making tech more inclusive. While this is a volunteer position for now, it is an official leadership role with the potential for formal compensation later this year, pending funding.

• Lead the overall management and operations of Rita Lab, ensuring alignment with wider Rita Group goals.
• Oversee the community’s experience, ensuring it is positive, valuable, and engaging for all members.
• Manage and support Rita Lab teams, working closely with the Head of People to ensure necessary team members are onboard.
• Collaborate with other Rita initiatives, including Rita Group, Rita ABC, and Rita XYZ, to ensure alignment and synergy across efforts.
• Oversee Rita Lab events, seminars (in collaboration with Michael), and the development of community resources.
• Work with the social media, website, content, and brand teams to ensure consistent and impactful communication.
• Actively participate in Rita leadership discussions to contribute to broader organizational goals.

• Proven experience leading community initiatives or being part of a growing community.
• Passion for community building and supporting people through inclusive and impactful efforts.
• Strong communication, social, and organizational skills.
• Genuine enthusiasm for tech, a commitment to supporting the next generation of technologists, and a passion for making tech more diverse and inclusive.
• Experience managing teams and working collaboratively across different functions.
